Dr. Nadia Sultana

Bio

Nadia completed her undergrad at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2013 with a degree in Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. Her undergraduate research focused on organic chemistry.

Interested in organic chemistry from childhood, she completed her PhD in Fiber and Polymer Sciences under Dr. Nelson Vinueza with a focus on dye analysis.

Different colors of dyes have fascinated her throughout life, piquing her curiosity and driving her to unwrap the structure-property relationships that allow such variations in hue. As a part of this study, she is pioneering research in microfluidics as a rapid sampling method for mass spectrometry in order to more efficiently study her dyes.
